I didn’t grow up dreaming of a real estate career—I was planning to be a legal secretary. But like any great novel, life threw in a plot twist. In 1993, fresh out of Oregon Tech with an AA in Office Systems Tech, I walked into a RE/MAX office in Salem and met Evelyn Moreland—a powerhouse agent who didn’t just inspire me, she rerouted my entire story. It took a few chapters (and career detours), but real estate was always where I was headed.
Yes, I know the market. Yes, I can negotiate like a middle child asking for dessert. But what really sets me apart? I love this work. The weird floor plans, the wildly specific wishlists, the appraisal panic texts. The stories—the people. That’s what keeps me here.
I’m a born-and-raised Oregonian with deep roots in the Portland metro (Westside is my stomping ground) and a soft spot for small-town charm—North Plains, Cornelius, Forest Grove, I see you. I know which streets bloom first and where the coffee actually tastes good.
Also: I read a lot of books. Like, a lot. I’ve been called a “book sommelier” because I’m just as likely to pair you with a great novel as I am your next home.
So if you want someone who’ll actually listen, shoot straight, and help you through the messy middle of buying or selling—pull up a chair. I’ll bring the iced chai or Diet Dr. Pepper. You bring the Pinterest board and the chaos.
